Jim, Sorry for the delay in writing this. I just wanted to take the time and tell you how awesome my Black bear trip was on Vanvouver Island. Even with cold and all day rain, and only having 3 days to hunt, I still managed to get my bear , and got him the first evening. My guide Mike was first class all the way and a heck of a nice guy. It was a first class hunt, with first class guides, and first class hunting grounds. Thanks again for all your help planning this great trip. Thanks, Michael Michael Miller Potomac, MD

(We have one Roosevelt elk tag on Vancouver Island every 3 years and in 2008 Derek Gentile went on this hunt) Just wanted to extend a sincere "thank you" to everyone! I had an unbelievable experience on Vancouver Island chasing Roosevelt elk and black bear last week. The trophies and memories will be mine forever... The hunting was excellent as you all know. My good friend and guide Fred Lackie even took the time to teach me how to identify a few of the island's best fungi ( not that I had a choice in the matter) "Ooh, Ooh!"Fred would shout as he slammed on the brakes to the Super Duty Ford, "Chanterelles...Orange Peels...Bid something-or-others!" We added grouse to our quarry one night along with the mushrooms, an elk tenderloin and a bottle of Cabernet that made for one of the best camp meals I've ever had! Derek stated he went home with many stories too long to type up that he'll cherish for years to come.

Hello Mr. Shockey My name is Jeff Yaekel and I really had a great time on my bear hunt. The island is beautiful and the accommodations were more than I expected. The lodges were terrific. Everybody was very nice and the meals were great I can see no one leaves the table hungry, if they do it's their own fault. I can't say enough about the guides; Brian, Ted, Freddie, Scott, Cody and Chad, a bunch of great guys that really enjoy being around each other. Very nice people. Fortunately I was guided by Cody and Chad, they are a lot of fun. But most of all they worked their asses off to find a good bear. I couldn't get over how much ground they covered and the number of bears we saw each day, 18-25 amazing. I just wanted you to know I really had a good time and being a potential part of one of your films is great. Not expecting to make the cut however. But what really made the trip worthwhile was doing it with my DAD and my two brothers, what a blast. The reason for my e-mail is that when I shot my bear l had let my brother use my camera to get pics of my dad and unfortunately I don't have any pics of my bear. However, Cody took a bunch of pics with his camera and he said he would e-mail them to me or mail them. I was wondering if there was any way that I or you guys could e-mail Cody and remind him. I know he has a lot on his plate with everything he has to do but I sure would be thankful for I have a lot of friends and family giving me guff over that I didn't actually kill a bear. So I need some proof ha ha. Hope to hear from you soon.
