More SNIPERS in the Woods!

Posted by: Jim Shockey
(Grand Prairie, TX) In 2008, Stealth Cam, the leader in the category of digital scouting cameras, partnered with professional big game outfitter and hunter, Jim Shockey, in developing a series of digital scouting cameras. Growing upon this relationship comes the next generation of SNIPER cameras. After extensive development and testing in extreme weather conditions with Jim Shockey and his team of professional guides, Stealth Cam’s engineers designed two new models: The SNIPER PRO and SNIPER IR.

"No Guff! Once you add one of my SNIPER cameras to your deer hunting gear, you’ll be hooked. I was, and this season I have two new signature cameras in my arsenal, the SNIPER PRO and the SNIPER IR. Hunt better and smarter this season with Stealth Cam scouting cameras,” states Shockey.

And speaking of relationships, with every SNIPER PRO or SNIPER IR purchased, a portion of the proceeds goes to supporting Safari Club International Foundation.

SNIPER PRO – 8.0 Megapixel Digital Flash Scouting Camera

The new SNIPER PRO 8.0 Megapixel Flash Scouting Camera allows outdoorsmen to scout more effectively by tracking the moon phase and temperature in conjunction with animal activity by stamping the time and date, moon phase and temperature on every image. It has 32 MB of built-in memory as well as an expandable SD memory card slot that accepts up to a 4 GB card (sold separately) for more storage capabilities. The front counter display lets you know exactly how many images are being stored in memory.

Stealth Cam’s patented Burst Mode TM technology makes this tool programmable to shoot 1 to 9 pictures when motion is detected, capturing more pictures in a faster amount of time than any other scouting camera on the market. For those hoping to catch that trophy buck in action, outdoorsmen have the option to take up to 90 seconds of video per triggering. Program this camera further by choosing from intervals of 1 to 60 minutes between motion activation with its easy on-screen menu, and make use of the test mode to ensure optimum camera placement. The newly designed housing is not only rugged, but also waterproof. It is fully capable of handling Stealth Cam’s external 12V battery pack for an even longer time in the field.

SNIPER IR –Digital Video Scouting Recorder

For those hunters wanting infrared and video, the SNIPER IR Digital Video Scouting Recorder fills that need. Features like Digital Video Stamping allow the user to review the time-coding of the captured video by monitoring the year/month/day/hour/minute/seconds, as well as moon phase and temperature.
The SNIPER IR DVR, with its new single lens optical technology truly becomes the ultimate scouting tool for the hunter looking to maximize his time in the field by monitoring deer activity 24/7. The high-quality VGA video, complete with full audio, is capable of recording during daylight or dark, and allows the user to adjust the video recording time from 5 to 240 seconds per triggering! And with an external Memory SD memory card slot capable of handling up to 4GB, there is plenty of time to capture footage to view and hear animal behavior. The technology doesn’t stop there.  In addition to the video, the SNIPER IR is a full-function camera for still images.

The 5 megapixel high quality daytime and nighttime images, this unique camera delivers are extremely sharp. All still images are stamped with date, time, moonphase and temperature information. The nighttime images captured by the SNIPER IR are made possible through the use of the 36 IR (infrared) emitters with an effective range up to 30 feet. The microprocessor optimizes trigger time and the Burst Mode can now capture 1-9 images per triggering. The SNIPER IR’s wide-angle coverage area captures animal movement enabling greater chances of catching that big buck sneaking around.

The SNIPER IR also has an enhanced, easy-to-use, Icon-based program screen, making short time of set-up. The newly designed housing is not only rugged, but also waterproof and fully capable of handling Stealth Cam’s external 12V battery pack for even longer time in the field. The patented test mode feature ensures the user is gaining maximum potential of the coverage area.
