Team Shockey Hosts Military Vets in Saskatchewan

Posted by: Jim Shockey
Abe Marvin of Camden, Michigan and Amanda Mikulka of Brighton, MI each took great 8-point bucks recently while hunting with our Canadian Whitetail Adventures operation in Saskatchewan. Abe and Amanda (a sergeant in the #144 military police company of the Michigan National Guard) were both injured in the same RPG attack in Iraq on August 9, 2007. Amanda lost her right leg below the knee.
Abe and Amanda's hunts, transportation and licenses were paid for by Jim's military veterans fund which generates proceeds from his Jim Shockey Desert Golf Shootout, celebrity hunts and other fundraisers. Cabela's was extremely generous in outfitting these military vets with all of the clothing and boots necessary for this cold-weather hunt.

Despite losing her right leg below the knee in Iraq in 2007, Amanda Mikulka has never missed a whitetail season.
