Whirlwind European Hunts Coming to an End

Posted by: jsadmin

Just finishing up a whirlwind hunting tour of Europe, now trying to rush home to get as much Saskatchewan whitetail season in as possible! Two weeks of straight hunting and hiking with cameraman, Tanner Adams, has been wild. First to Ljubljana in Slovenia for Alpine Ibex, then Bucharest for Carpathian Chamois. Both great hunts with high elevation and long days of climbing. Tanner wasn't feeling so good for the first week in the high mountains. Apparently editing at the computer for the past year has done very little for Tanner's high-altitude stamina. Just as we headed for lower country, he started getting use to the thin air. Perfect timing Tanner!

Next was Ostersund, Sweden for moose. Much easier hunting with beautiful scenery. Got a nice moose with great footage, then off to Helsinki for whitetail. Still here with Tanner in Helsinki searching for a good whitetail with a couple days left of hunting.

It's been a great trip but looking forward to getting back to Saskatchewan for whitetail season! Todd is already there and has the Stealthcams out at all of our stands. He's reported some good bucks already so once they get moving in the next week or so, it looks like it's going to be a great season. Gotta run - time to hunt.

Shoot Straight,
