I Can See Moose for Miles and Miles
We had a great day today. Weather was fantastic. We got up way high on the tops of the mountains, glassing for miles and miles. We covered a pile of country with the Leupold binos. We saw nine different bulls, including the big one we saw yesterday. We didn't go after him today because he was in a bad position. He was too close to the timber with his cows, and there was no way we could get at him without spooking him, so we didn't bother. We did see three other bulls. Made a stalk on one that was about a 57-incher; got within 70 yards, good footage, but I just couldn't get him to come in any closer ... too early in the rut yet. We saw two other good bulls, but they were a long, long way away. They're just starting to move a little but not much, just not rutting yet.
