Jaguars Proving Elusive in Paraguay
Went out this morning ... didn't find any jaguar tracks, saw a lot of puma tracks, didn't see much this morning actually traveling around, so they went up in the air trying to locate a jaguar that they've got collared; they have to transplant it to another area, and they did locate it, but it's too far from any roads to try and go get. Everything else is going good, except my muzzleloader is still not here.
Len is not looking real good again, he's taken another turn for the worse. It's pretty rough back at home, and I'm just sitting here at the edge of the sat-tel phone always waiting for the phone call to get back up there, so things are kind of in limbo around here.
The Next Day ...
We sat this evening and saw three Brocket deer, including one male, I probably should have shot it, but I was hoping for something a little bigger and I'm hoping for my muzzleloader, but it's still not here. It's still traveling all over the place, who knows, It seems to have gone from Chile to Argentina and from there back up to Canada and now they're trying to get it back down here. It's a mess, but we still have the .300 Win. Mag. Thompson/Center Pro Hunter, so we can use that.
The other guys have taken off in the airplane, they got a call that a jaguar on one ranch killed a goat and a puma killed another goat, so they've gone over there to try to collar the jaguar. But I'm still here. Keeping our hearts crossed for Len.
