Leopard Baits Remain Untouched

Posted by: Jim Shockey
We got the warthog hung up today, so now we have seven baits out there; hard to say why the baits aren't hit. Jason is really, really surprised. This is the highest density of leopards anywhere in Africa apparently. So we're just waiting patiently. Sitting, reading books all day long sitting watching an opening. The Stealth Cam had pics of a giant forest hog family, and late this afternoon they came walking out really cool, big male, females and a bunch of little ones. Unusual to see giant forest hogs like that; really cool. We saw five nyala cows and one young bull today and a bunch of bushbucks; and that was our day. Not much else going on.
Hyenas laughing at night, sort of on a hold pattern right now waiting to see what transpires over the next four days ... the last four days we have. We have our fingers crossed; we have to have a leopard hit and then we can get serious about trying to get him.
