Hal and Len Double Trouble with Horton Crossbows
Got out to Saskatchewan yesterday; Louise and I drove out here, and Todd Bissenden and Dave Laweless have been out here scouting. My dad, Hal, lives out here, and a friend of Len's drove Len all the way out from British Columbia to Saskatchewan. We got Hal and Len's licenses and went out and Len, just now this evening, shot a beautiful huge 4x4 on camera 20 yards with a Horton crossbow. He drilled it!

Len made a perfect shot on camera with his Horton crossbow downing this Saskatchewan 4x4 on the first night of his hunt with Hal and Jim.
We're driving back now to camp, we got the buck loaded, the sun is just setting, I can see geese in the distance circling around landing in a field, it's absolutely fantastic doesn't get any better than this. Hal was there; we had three cameras on this shoot, and Len made a perfect shot. He says it was the greatest thing that ever happened. The buck came in like magic. There was a little forkhorn in front of him, I had to just about fight him not to shoot it, but he waited and got this nice 4x4. Fantastic day. I'm so proud of Len for making such a good shot with the crossbow. He took about four practice shots before we went out at the GlenDel buck target, and it went great.

Hal's first crossbow buck, taken with a Horton crossbow rested on a Primos Trigger Stick ... with favorite hunting partners Len and Jim joining him on the hunt.
The Next Day ...
Another fantastic day. It's 6:20 p.m., the sun has just gone down, and we're already driving back to camp. And Dad just killed a buck with a Horton crossbow same stand as Len, same everything, a little 4x4, but they didn't care. They were having a competition on getting the world record white-tailed deer, but the world record is the oldest person on the planet to get one with a crossbow. So that's the story, I think it's going to make a real cool show, lots of footage, both deer going down on camera. Also, Matt Gibson, who last year puked all over himself for so long got a magnificent buck today, video'd himself getting it, great footage, up in the north area, so he's thrilled, and it's a great big buck and everybody is really proud of Matty Gibson, our New Zealander who's nickname is "The Swede" now ...
