Leupold’s all new UltimateSlam™ riflescope is the ideal combination of flexibility, accuracy, and durability for today’s modern muzzleloaders. Using a rugged and incredibly precise electroforming process in it’s advanced SABR™ (Sabot Ballistics Reticle™) reticle, the UltimateSlam is the newest entry in Leupold’s highly acclaimed, hunt-proven Golden Ring® family.
Simply zero your firearm at 100 yards, and you have precise hold points for 50, 150, 200, 250, and 300 yards, accurately allowing for 250 grain sabots with 2-pellet or 3-pellet loads. The power selector is engraved to give a quick visual clue as to what power setting is needed with each charge. Two dots indicate two pellets, three dots indicate three pellets. No other scope on the market provides this level of flexibility---making the UltimateSlam ideal for the hunter who uses different loads to hunt varied game and terrain with the same rifle.
Leupold’s SABR™ uses a fast, easy-to-acquire central aiming point with precise and distinct long range aiming dots on the vertical crosswire. Crafted with substantial input from world-renowned muzzleloader hunter, outfitter, expert guide and television personality Jim Shockey; the first person to ever harvest an Ultimate Slam with a muzzleloading firearm. According to Jim: “When the chips are down at long range, in the last light of day, on an animal I know is going to make the book, I want a distinct aiming point in a scope I know I can trust. I get both of these in the Leupold UltimateSlam with the SABR reticle. I’m confident that this reticle will give you the flexibility and long range confidence you need in the most demanding situations.”
The digitally designed aiming points step-down in size to subtend 3 inches at intended distances out to 250 yards, with a fine picket point indicating 300 yards--meaning that the aiming point never covers too much of your target. By comparison, competitive models often use open aiming apertures subtending up to 6 inches, allowing only a rough idea of where a projectile will land. Further, they can only be used at one magnification level and with only one charge weight.
Leupold’s SABR also provides a convenient 200 yard deer ranging feature. Simply bracket a mature whitetail between the horizontal crosswire and the bottom of the upper vertical picket at high magnification. If the buck fits, he is at 200 yards; if he fills the space with room to spare, he is inside of 200 yards; if he is smaller, he is farther than 200 yards.
Leupold’s Standard Multicoat Lens System, ¼ - MOA finger-click adjustments and waterproof, shockproof and fogproof construction combine to deliver the rugged reliability and crisp sight picture expected from Leupold in any hunting conditions. And, like all Golden Ring Scopes, the UltimateSlam provides the last word in lab and field tested ruggedness for a lifetime of dependability in the field. Protected by Leupold’s industry leading Golden Ring Lifetime Warranty.
